John Fraser

When John began his Drafting Apprenticeship with Lindsay Dynan in 2008, he was looking for a workplace in which he could be trained and challenged. At the completion of his Apprenticeship in 2012, John opted to stay with the company because of the friendly atmosphere, variety of work and central location of the workplace.

Throughout his Apprenticeship, John studied and completed an Advanced Diploma in Structural Engineering at TAFE. He maintains that on-the-job learning was the most critical part of his education though, and he found the support from other staff members at Lindsay Dynan to be excellent.

During his time at Lindsay Dynan, John has been involved in a wide array of different projects and disciplines including large scale earthworks, coal preparation plants, electrical substations, government buildings and residential houses. This variety of experience has given him a broad skillset that provides him a comprehensive framework for tackling new problems as they arise.

John finds the dominant culture at Lindsay Dynan to be primarily one of striving for excellence and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

In three words, John would describe Lindsay Dynan as: Encouraging, Positive and Friendly.
